Dear Citizens,
The Film programme for 2010 is currently under construction and will be ready very soon.
The aim of the IRISH FILM FESTIVAL OF LONDON is to celebrate and introduce Irish Films in the same spirit as two of the most important Irish cultural legacies to visit the capital over the years. Starting with ‘A SENSE OF IRELAND’ festival of 1980 and continuing with the prestigious Field Day Theatre Company whose plays, pamphlets and publishing have left a lasting influence on our city’s cultural life.
We trust that the Irish Film Festival of London will also contribute in some way to increasing the understanding and friendship between the people of these islands and be part of the longer term cultural project by keeping an open dialogue circulating between London-Irish communities and Ireland.
We are grateful for the continuing support of the Mayor of London’s Office, Culture Ireland and the Irish Film Institute in our third year of the festival.
We extend a big welcome to you all.
David Patrick Kelly
Artistic Director
